Rest In Peace: Stan Lokhin

This morning Surinam arranger/composer Stan Lokhin passed away at age 63. Billy Jones, Oscar Harris and his Twinkle Stars, Lieve Hugo (the King of Kaseko) and the Happy Boys are among the list of musical giants he brought to the ears of countless fans. Most of these artists’ tracks in our Eigen Funk Eerst series of mixes are produced by the late, great Stan Lohkin. Recently suffering from terminal illness, he lived as a humble but proud man, and in September he was finally awarded one of the highest badges of honor in his home country. May he rest in piece.
