Here’s a funny scan from Amsterdamned (1988), which was one of the earlier “big budget” action thrillers from the Netherlands. The single, taken from the film’s soundtrack, features a few action stills on the back showing all the reasons why you should see this movie. Yesterday, Dutch composer and musician Jerry Van Rooyen died at age 80. His work has always been an important contributor in Die Schallplattenpolizei’s Dutch funk mixes, and we wish to extend our sincere condolances to the Van Rooyen family. Jerry will be missed, and may his music find its way to many ears both young and old for generations to come.
