To begin, we’ll open our little tour with Shoe’s book exhibit opening, then we’re off to Leipzig to spin at the 3rd Leipziger Newcomer Breakdance battle, and we’ll close off the weekend with another Shoe Exhibit jam at the Arty Farty Gallery in Cologne. Yesterday, Dutch composer and musician Jerry Van Rooyen died at age 80. His work has always been an important contributor in Die Schallplattenpolizei’s Dutch funk mixes, and we wish to extend our sincere condolances to the Van Rooyen family. Jerry will be missed, and may his music find its way to many ears both young and old for generations to come.
